Welcome to the Phillip K. Dorn Detachment - Marine Corps League 

The Detachment was founded in the memory of Marine Lance Corporal Phillip Dorn of Red Bank, New Jersey  who was killed in action in Viet Nam. The Dorn Detachment has approximately 100 members most of whom reside in northern Monmouth County. Dorn Marines have served our country in WW2, Korea, Viet Nam, Afghanistan, Iraq and in many other engagements.

The detachment is a non-profit organization registered by the State of New Jersey as a charitable organization and by the federal government as a 501(c) (3) corporation.

The Marine Corps League was established by an Act of Congress in 1923. Membership is open to all active duty Marines, Marine Reservists and honorably discharged Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen. The goal and purpose of the Marine Corps League is to promote the ideals of American Freedom and Democracy and to render assistance when needed to  Marines and Marine family members.
